2007 National Conference
Meet IDF in St. Louis The 2007 IDF National Conference, which will be held June 28-30, 2007, offers three days of learning, discussing and sharing for everyone living with primary immune deficiency diseases. World-renowned immunologists will share their time and expertise with you. You will learn about scientific advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases and gain skills needed to manage your health care. And of course you will benefit from the opportunity to meet other families and talk with the faculty.
However this year, another benefit has been added—the perfect opportunity to discover the charming city of St. Louis. Rich in history, St Louis offers something for everyone in this lively metropolis on the Mississippi River.
Home of the 1904 World’s Fair where ice cream cones, iced tea and hot dogs served in a bun made their debut in America; St. Louis continues to delight visitors. You will be welcomed by the Gateway Arch, where you can take a breathtaking ride to the top, watch an amazing movie about the monument’s construction or visit the Museum of Westward Expansion below the arch grounds. Forest Park is home to many family attractions including the St. Louis Zoo, the St. Louis Art Museum, the Missouri Museum of History and the St. Louis Science Center. And, there is no general admission charge for most of these venues.
Other popular activities include: watching the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals take on their rivals in Busch Stadium; Riverboat gambling, complete with five casinos to choose from along the Mississippi River; taking a tour of Anheuser-Busch Brewery; and, visiting Anheuser-Busch’s Grants Farms where the legendary Clydesdale horses can be found.
