Where should we have people send Donations for CGD research?Hi all, It is my son's birthday next month. Instead of gifts we would like to have his relatives donate for more CGD research---where is the best place to send money? If there is a specific website or research institute let me know. Thanks! Katy

![]() Hi Katy I'm Shannen, ive just recently turned 16 and am from Australia. We have a Jeans for Genes day out here and it helps to raise money for genetic diseases, i dont know if you have the same or something similar where you are? the foundation does not specifically help with cgd research but every little bit of information could be a vital key... Kind regards Shannen |

Hi Katy,
In the U.S. you can donate money to the CGD Association (CGDA) www.cgdassociation.org
The address is under: Contact & Nonprofit Info.
Also on the website is a list of fundraising ideas under: Fundraising or Donation Suggestions.
We are an IRC 501C(3) nonprofit corporation, and all donations are tax deductible. 100% of your donations go toward CGD research.
We recently received the 2008 Wellness Award from the Association of Healthcare Media Directors, Inc. (AHMD) www.ahmd.org/wellness.php and they donated $8000. We were able to do a PowerPoint presentation on CGD with the theme: Getting CGD patients well, Keeping them well, and Focusing on a cure. We want to add to this donation for CGD research.
Also there is a Jeans for Genes in the U.S. www.jeansforgenes.us.com The CGDA donated $20,000 to this group last year to go directly to Dr. Dinauer’s gene therapy research on CGD.
I hope your son’s birthday was great and that he has a good and healthy year.
