The CGD Café

Hi All,

I had a question for the group.  I am a 34 year old male with CGD and probably over the last 10 years my breathing has not been the best.  I used to be very active in sports and now I don't find playing them as fun because of the difficulty I have breathing.  I have tried multiple inhalers and am currently taking Advair which seems to help a little bit but that seems to have even changed the last few months where I hear crackles in my lungs and I used to not.  I was wondering if anyone else has experienced these issues later in life and what medications you might be taking to help relieve some of these issues.  Nothing would make me happier than to be able to play sports with a easier time of breathing.  I will probably be back at NIH within the month to discuss this topic again.  I would love to hear some of your responses and if you have similiar issues.
