The CGD Café

After recent setbacks in gene therapy, which holds particular promise for CGD, I was concerned that research would slow or stop altogether. Thankfully, at least some groups are deciding that the potential benefits outweigh the risks. The German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft - DFG) has issued a memorandum supporting continued research into gene therapy, mentioning CGD in particular. This is particularly important as a significant percentage of the research has been performed in Germany.
