The CGD Café

Hi everyone. I just went to the eye doctor last week and he said I have the beginnings of cataracts in both of my eyes. I had Retinitis when I was young and am legally blind in my left eye from it. I am now 32 and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. My doctor said that they can now make the replacement lense that is used in surgery to the same prescription as your glasses so this isn't necessarily a bad thing to have happen. I am still afraid since I only have the one good eye and I am a drafter. Has anyone gone through this before or heard of this happening in other people with CGD?
